IMG_4928  Making the decision to place your child in a therapeutic program can be a struggle.  Having a child in therapy can cause anxiety out of fear of the stigma you may face. Living with a teenager who challenges your parenting can be exhausting.  Each journey is filled with a myriad of emotions, decisions, and concerns.  Having support  as you navigate this journey is essential but who can you talk to?  It is easy to feel alone and isolated but I assure you that you are not alone.

I am here for you.  As a former middle school educator I have experience with pre-teen and teenage children. As a parent of a child placed in residential therapeutic treatment, I understand the enormity of what you are going through.  My child and family had a successful experience with residential therapy; we all grew from the experience.  Change, growth, emotions and insight are part of the journey for both you and your child.  Therapy and treatment programs give your child the guidance and support to navigate these.  I have first hand experience of having children in therapy while living at home.  I have talked to many parents over the past few years who are in the process of deciding whether or not to send their child to a residential treatment facility or wilderness program and have heard their struggles and grateful I was in a position to help them with this difficult decision.  My passion is to help parents through this challenging time in their lives and let them know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

A strong support system is essential to navigating the highs and lows of this journey.  Having a child in a therapy forces us, the parent, to look at how we also need to change and transform along with our child.  Your goal is to navigate the journey as gracefully as possible while successfully implementing permanent changes we need to support our children.  Allow me be your support system.  During the time we work together we will discover ways for you to support your child before, during, and after treatment as well as find your path as well. Contact me and tell me more about your story.  Contact me here  Bring me along on your journey and we will navigate it together.
